I’m George, a BI Developer at BrainRocket in Valencia. My background in casino operations brought me close to the games, the people, and the decisions behind the business. Today, I bring that perspective to data, AI, and automation—exploring what could work better and helping people put it into practice.

The journey
From casino operations in Cyprus to iGaming BI in Valencia.
Alongside iGaming reporting in Valencia, I help the team adopt new tools and automate recurring tasks to make everyday work more productive. If we’re doing the same thing by hand again, I’ll probably have a suggestion.
I moved from casino operations into iGaming software, bringing operational experience into BI. Working with SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI deepened my technical skills and helped me connect what a report shows with what the business needs to understand.
A fully funded Melco scholarship gave me the chance to deepen the business knowledge behind my work. Studying finance, strategy, and management helps me understand how decisions connect across a business, from where resources go to how teams work.
In HR for casino operations, I worked with employees, business leaders, and executives on recruitment and workforce decisions. I brought data into those discussions, built tools to reduce the team’s workload, and helped employees work through concerns. Hearing different sides was part of the job.
I started as a dealer, learning the games, the customers, and the pace of the floor. My technical skills led to a six-month AML database improvement project, then back-office reporting on casino activity and financial performance. My responsibilities grew from understanding the games to understanding the numbers behind them.
Learning to turn a business question into clear findings with SQL, R, and Tableau. I apply the same approach in Power BI: prepare the data, understand it, and explain what matters.
